     On Sunday, September 8th, at 12 noon, a memorial service was held at the Teller County World War II Veterans Memorial in Victor's Wallace Park (northwest corner of 2nd and Victor Ave).  Seen above, Steve Plutt, a district lifelong resident and historian, addressed the lives of the Gold Star Servicemen who are included on the memorial. ​

Huge thanks to the following: The Star-Spangled Banner was performed by local vocalist and actor Jaime Brown. Michael Lindsey from American Legion Post #171 led the welcome and ceremony prayers. Post #171 Color Guard performed the Posting of Colors, presented by Dean Winn, Chance Pace, Lonnie Mathis, & Larry Meyer. Also attending from Post #171 was Mark Green and Curt Sorenson. Tim Grabin from American Legion Post 13 played Taps to conclude the event. ​
