Biking & Hockey in Victor, Colorado – The Passions of Brian Hayes.

Brian Hayes first came to Victor in 1973 and worked underground in the Ajax Mine to support his family. After the Ajax closed in the 1980’s, Brian recalls how he and other volunteers helped establish the Victor Penguins Hockey Club & Rink (originally a pond with no boards, eventually upgraded with modern facilities known as Brian’s Park).
Bicycle riding is Brian’s other passion. He bikes with friends on paved and unpaved routes leading from Victor to points near and far beyond. He also operates a bicycle shop from his Victor home.

Modern facilities are located on site of a pond where Victor Hockey originated.

In warmer weather Brian's Park may be used as a practice field for soccer.
